A Very Early Start

Students and parents were up well before dawn to make it to the airport on time. Despite the early hour there is a ton of energy and excitement about the trip ahead. We're on the first of our two flights today and the students are settling in to whatever non-electonic-gizmo-enabled activity they can find. Since personal electronic devices aren't part of the equation for this trip (yahoo!), more arcane forms or entertainment are emerging. The following have been observed:
  • Playing cards (Skip-bo, anyone?)
  • Watching the clouds fly by at 30,000 feet
  • Engaging in face-to-face conversation
  • Asking "How much longer?"
  • Drooling while sleeping on the seat-back table
A few captured moments...

Sharp dressed youth checking in at the airport ... and Mr. Wirthlin in the background negotiating for a first class upgrade :-)

Beginning to assemble in the terminal
Paparazzi have gathered

Say "Cheese" boys
Lovely ladies with tickets in hand
A good looking line-up

At the gate

"Do you have any idea how early it is?"
"Please do not leave bags unattended." Wait, what?

It's all in the cards...
Take off!!
