Students and parents were up well before dawn to make it to the airport on time. Despite the early hour there is a ton of energy and excitement about the trip ahead. We're on the first of our two flights today and the students are settling in to whatever non-electonic-gizmo-enabled activity they can find. Since personal electronic devices aren't part of the equation for this trip (yahoo!), more arcane forms or entertainment are emerging. The following have been observed:
- Playing cards (Skip-bo, anyone?)
- Watching the clouds fly by at 30,000 feet
- Engaging in face-to-face conversation
- Asking "How much longer?"
- Drooling while sleeping on the seat-back table
